    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting the restoration of a deleted article.

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    Hi, I am the subject of this article draft, which was recently deleted under G11 (unambiguous advertising). I respectfully request undeletion so I can revise and resubmit it through the Articles for Creation process.

    The article was written in good faith, with a neutral tone and multiple reliable, independent sources such as France-Amérique magazine (cover feature, April 2023), In Her Studio (Summer 2022), and Niagara Escarpment View (2015). The content was not promotional, but a biographical summary of an artist's career, exhibitions, and recognition.

    Request for undeletion: Deana Weibel

    I am the subject of the article “Deana Weibel,” which was deleted under G5 because it was originally created by a blocked user. I was unaware that the editor I hired to create the article was in violation of Wikipedia policy, and I did not attempt to promote or edit the article beyond a single neutral factual addition.

    The article remained on Wikipedia for nearly a year without objection, and I believe it met notability guidelines. I have been interviewed by major independent publications including the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic (twice), and the BBC. In addition, my scholarly work has been cited in numerous academic publications, and I am featured in at least two books.

    I respectfully request that the deleted article be restored to my user space (e.g., User:EthnoEthereal/DeanaWeibel) so that I can revise it in compliance with Wikipedia’s conflict-of-interest and content policies and submit it properly through the Articles for Creation process.
